A Ride in the Desert

When I first talk with someone about photographing their family, I want to hear all the goods- who is in your family, what do you love, what speaks to your soul when you think about having your family photographed. After all, I’m here to showcase YOU.

This is a partnership and collaboration- I ask you to show up with open hearts, ready to connect with your family, and laugh at the chaos in your love story.

Meanwhile, I arrive ready to love on your family, embrace your little ones, and use my ten years of photography experience to showcase all the beauty in your family.

When this gorgeous mama reached out to talk about their family photo shoot, she mentioned wanting to use her insanely cool 1967 Lincoln Continental in the shoot.

If you’ve looked at my work, you know I don’t do much with props, but I truly see the value in integrating something that is meaningful to your family (playing in your family treehouse or your children’s lovies). They had purchased the vehicle this year and she was over the moon excited about her new baby. We decided to take her into the desert and have some fun.

Y’all- this family!!! 😍 This car!!! 🤩 These kids!!! 🥰 Oh. My. Goodness.

This family showed up ready to have fun, placed their trust in me to do what I do best, and the rest was cake. We had a blast.

Each child truly shined and I was able to showcase each child for exactly who they are- which is how they should be remembered through the years.

Are you ready to collaborate and plan your family photo shoot??? There is no perfect time or stage in life; there is just the here and now. Let’s do this. 😉
